Authors
Our mission is to uncover the moments that matter in audiovisual media by building AI models that can understand video, just like humans do.
Dr. Anas Filali is a postdoctoral researcher at Moments Lab, specializing in computer vision and machine learning. After completing his studies in applied mathematics and data science, he earned a PhD in artificial intelligence in 2025 from Institut Polytechnique de Paris, where his research focused on detecting Parkinson’s disease through facial video analysis. His work now involves developing Video Language Models (VLMs) to understand and articulate complex temporal dynamics in videos . He is also actively involved in teaching the foundations of artificial intelligence to university students.
Killian Steunou is a Machine Learning PhD student at Institut Polytechnique de Paris, specializing in computer vision and deep learning. His research focuses on efficient omni-modal learning for video understanding. He also has hands-on industry experience from Idemia, CLS, and JoliBrain, where he worked on multi-object tracking, foundation models for remote sensing, and generative image systems. Killian holds a Master's in Mathematics, Vision & Learning (MVA) from ENS Paris-Saclay and brings a strong foundation in applied mathematics, open-source development, and reproducible research.
Khalil Guetari is a Machine Learning Engineer at Moments Lab where he tackles AI projects from the research stage through to product features deployed at scale. He has more than four years of experience as a specialized engineer in computer vision and natural language processing for multimodal image and video understanding.
Dr. Yannis Tevissen is Head of Research at Moments Lab, where he follows R&D projects from research ideas to products deployed at scale. After a short founder experience, he gained his PhD in artificial intelligence in 2023 from Institut Polytechnique de Paris. Yannis’s overall research focus is video understanding and multimodal processing. Yannis is also an emerging voice for disability inclusion, advocating for accessible workplaces and developing AI that provides more accurate and diverse representations.
